Fine Chess Academy LLC (“FCA”, “we”) runs finechessacademy.com. This page explains what information we collect, why, and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Contact form. Your name, email, optional phone number, the student’s age or grade, chess experience, and your message. Submissions are processed and forwarded to our email.
- Lesson booking. When you book through Calendly, Calendly collects the details you enter and shares them with us so we can schedule the lesson.
- Training tools. No account is needed. Things like your puzzle level, best scores and a game in progress are saved only in your own browser, on your device. They are never sent to us. Clearing your browser data removes them.
How we use it
Only to answer your message, schedule and run lessons, and follow up about the lessons you asked about. We don’t sell or rent your information, and we don’t add you to a mailing list without asking.
Services we rely on
- Trusted service providers host the website, deliver contact-form messages and supply the site’s fonts. Like most websites, our host keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses and pages visited.
- Calendly handles lesson bookings.
- The House of Staunton. Our gear link is an affiliate link. If you click it, The House of Staunton may use cookies to credit FCA for a purchase. That costs you nothing extra.
These providers process information under their own privacy policies.
Children
Lessons for children are arranged with a parent or guardian. If you are under 13, please ask a parent to contact us. If we learn that a child under 13 sent us personal information without a parent, we will delete it.
Your choices
You can ask us to see, correct or delete the information you sent us. Email info@finechessacademy.com or call or text (469) 568-7224.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
